After Katrina hit, the government told the survivors not to evacuate, some died.

After 9/11 hit, the government told the survivors not to evacuate, hundreds of those survivors died because the government told them not to evacuate.

Between the two Iraq wars the US government led sanctions that killed 500,000 Iraqi pre-schoolers and babies making their parents suicidal or homicidal. The US government then provided these suicidal or homocidal Iraqis with 380 tons of "nuclear weapons grade" high explosives. The US government then sent ~150,000 young US soldiers to represent the US government to these suicidal or homocidal parents and the young US soldiers did not speak the language of these suicidal or homocidal parents but the young US soldiers were told that these suicidal or homocidal parents would welcome them with open arms.

"No government" would have saved lives. Restated: The absence of government would have saved lives. The government was worse than useless.
Bush says he is protecting us.

If two armored Knights on their horses are facing off to attack each other, and one has a forty foot lance, and one has a pen knife, this is not a joust.
Before the onset of the guerrilla conflict in Iraq the ratio of American casualties to Iraqi casualties was one to fifty. If both sides were disarmed except for pocket knives and neither side had any armor(to make some attempt to make a "fair fight"), to achieve the ratio of one American death to 50 Iraqi deaths, the Iraqi combatants would have to be 11 year olds.
That is not a "fair fight." That is a massacre.
Bush is not a "WAR president," as he proclaims (to assert "war powers" he doesn't deserve like removing our right to privacy). He is the leader of a massacre. Leading a "massacre against 11 year olds" is a war crime. Is peace push button simple?
Ask Cindy Sheehan or any of a number of the mothers of dead children.
The survivors were told to wait at the Superdome and the Convention Center for imminent pick up by buses. Attempts to leave along the limited, narrow escape routes that remained above water... were met by rows of police with weapons drawn and firing warning shots as unarmed women and elderly survivors fled the flying bullets.
Below are quotes from "9/11 Commission Report"
"Hundreds of civilians .... below the impact ... waiting for assistance... Those who called 911 from floors below the impact were generally advised to remain in place... the 83rd floor pleaded repeatedly to know whether the fire was above or below them, specifically asking if 911 operators had any information from the outside or from the news. The callers were transferred back and forth several times and advised to stay put. Evidence suggests that these callers died... callers from below the impact were ... [not] obstructed from proceeding [and] were simply calling to seek advice. In any case, the 911 operators and FDNY dispatchers who advised them [to stay put] did not appear to be basing their advice on ... factual considerations."
